Job Description

We are looking for a User Experience Design Senior Manager for our Specialized Nutrition business in the US to accelerate the UX transformation and bring the user voice into this strategic business. This new position is a great opportunity for someone wishing to join a dynamic community, in the User Experience group for Danone.

Our dynamic UX community, with more than 90 collaborators across the world, has the main mission to embody consumer voice to inspire and co-design an awesome food experience that people will embrace. We work in a multi-disciplinary business environment to understand consumer's behaviors and expectations and design products and packaging. We partner with leading edge scientists and agencies to build a competitive advantage for Danone.

The UX Design Senior Manager Specialized Nutrition develops and drives the implementation of the UX strategy and priorities in line with business needs. It's main missions is to:

  1. Build UX roadmap for Specialized Nutrition main categories to design and deliver superior product experiences
  2. Inspire and fuel innovation projects through deep user immersion and iteration and UX insights.
  3. Ensure awesome user experience in every product we launch, by uncovering sensory and user experience drivers
  4. Understand behavior drivers to improve adherence to Specialized Nutrition products and to improve health impact.
  5. Guide UX design of our offers, by translating relevant and powerful user insights, and contributing to business growth and building competitive advantage for Specialized Nutrition Business.

In this role you will interface with multi-disciplinary teams and key capabilities in Research & Innovation, and be a real business partner to the SN marketing teams. Given this, you should bring experience in sensory and behavior design research together with a passion for bringing the consumer voice into the business, and ability to influence and lead the change with key business partners. An affinity to innovation techniques such as co-design techniques and sensory design is a plus.

The base compensation range for this position is $110,000-165,000 commensurate with experience.   • More than 5 years of successful experience in User Experience Design, ideally in the Food & Beverage industry
  • Bachelor's Degree required. PhD ideal or comparable experience in Behavior or Sensory and consumer research
  • Passion for bringing the consumer voice into the business
  • Business and results oriented, demonstrating insight mindset (i.e. ability to integrate various sources of data and bring meaning, make data actionable) with high level of critical thinking and business relevance
  • Solid experience of collaborative working (inc. with cross-functional teams), with strong leadership (inc. in complex matrix environment) and inter-personal skills for dealing with and influencing a variety of people (profile and seniority level).
  • Curious and able to drive conviction based arguments and activities - challenging the status quo
  • You are fluent in English, and international experience is a bonus.
  • You have a passion for bringing the voice of the users into the design of our products.
  • Passion for Insight management
  • Love food and cooking is a bonus
