Job Overview

Starting pay rate at $37.50/hour

The Life Support Program Coordinator develops, implements, and delivers AHA education courses, including, but not limited to Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support. Responsibilities include course management, AHA instructor support, RQI management/support and evaluation and improvement of the program. The Life Support Coordinator is a PALS, ACLS, and BLS instructor.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Respiratory Therapy.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience as an AHA Instructor.
  • Certification(s):
    • BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA) with at least six (6) months left before expiration is required upon hire.
    • Current Colorado Driver's License with good driving record.
    • ACLS Instructor certification or PALS Instructor certification at time of hire (must obtain remaining ACLS Instructor certification or PALS Instructor certification, within six (6) months of hire).
  • Licensure(s): Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Colorado is required or Colorado Respiratory Therapist License, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.

  • Provide CHCO Staff and Providers with AHA PALS, ACLS, and BLS certification courses, including AHA Instructor courses, in accordance with the American Heart Association guidelines.
  • Provide CHCO staff and Providers with any additional Life Support educational courses in related area of resuscitation.
  • Coordinate, manage, and schedule course, manage registrations, and manage instructor assignments for AHA Courses.
  • Manage, maintain, and update Life support equipment and supplies, keeps equipment and supplies in good working order.
  • Provide AHA Instructor Training and support with monitoring for AHA Instructor renewals.
  • Manage and support CHCO RQI system administrator.
  • Manage, schedule, and arrange TNCC/ENPC courses with outside provider.
  • Invoice providers and external students for courses.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $64,328.01 to $96,492.02
Hourly Salary Range: $30.93 to $46.39
